Wednesdays 7:30-9pm Grades 6-12
Led by popular Hollis music instructor, Bill Hinkle, in this ensemble, students will work on learning to improvise and explore the many different styles of jazz music. Students will have the opportunity to read both traditional big band jazz charts and lead sheets, which are often used in smaller jazz
combos. Students playing sax, trumpet, trombone, percussion, keyboard guitar and bass guitar are welcome in this ensemble. An audition is not necessary for this ensemble.
