Music Outreach Programs
Want us to bring the music to you?
NCMS offers a continuously changing series of outreach programs in which our music specialists bring a performance, workshop or lesson program directly to your organization. Most traveling programs are completely customizable to your size and budget and often vary in theme.

THE AFRICAN DRUMMING EXPERIENCE
Join South African native Marie Mendelow and her team to explore the many sounds, rhythms and music of Africa! This unique program allows students to get their hands on authentic African instruments such as the djembe, ballphone, DunDun and more and become a part of a real drum circle. This great multicultural program balances enrichment with skill and can be customized to fit your size and age group.
All of our talented faculty artists are frequent performers on their instruments and often collaborate to provide recitals throughout the community. Please let us know if you are interested in hosting a concert and we will happily devise a program to fit your audience!
LESSONS ON WHEELS
NCMS is excited to share the knowledge of their highly qualified faculty artists by sending them out to conduct regular lesson programs, masterclasses or sectionals to different schools and musical organizations across the region. We make it easy for your school to offer private music instruction to your students at your location as a part of the regular school day or as a special after school activity. If you or your school is interested in hosting a satellite enrichment lesson program, please contact the Executive Director, Lindsay Rinaldi by email today: email@example.com.
"Bucket Blast" is a recycled percussion workshop where students of any age learn the basics of rhythm, drumming and collaboration while using recycled objects such as buckets, pails and trashcans as musical instruments. Students are challenged to work together as a team under the direction of NCMS "Trash Talk" Percussion Ensemble Director Ray Aucoin to practice, learn and play a complete musical composition.
