Holiday Music Bingo is perfect for holiday parties, craft fairs, or events where kids are looking for a special music activity with featuring live musicians to ring in the spirit of the season!
Bucket Blast is a recycled percussion workshop where students of any age learn the basics of rhythm, drumming and collaboration while using recycled objects such as buckets, pails and trashcans as musical instruments
Not sure what instrument is the right fit for you? The NCMS Instrument Petting Zoo gives curious musicians of all ages the chance to see, touch, and explore all of the instruments typically found in an orchestra.
This drum circle jam introduces the fundamental rhythms, sounds, and drumming techniques found across the vast continent of Africa with authentic world instruments. Special advanced drum circles for adults are also available.
This workshop challenges students of any experience level to use their imagination to write their own music. Through a series of quick brainstorming exercises and musical games, students compose an original song based on a common theme.
Each Multicultural Drumming Workshop features an educational drum circle that introduces the fundamental rhythms, sounds, and drumming techniques found across the globe with authentic world instruments.

Express yourself, write lyrics, compose melodies, and play or sing your own original music in this therapeutic songwriting session. Our Board Certified Music Therapist will lead a series of songwriting interventions with the goal of improving emotional expression and regulation.
This original music writing workshop and sharing session guides songwriters to find their voice and learn new composition techniques that make your music shine. Ideal for teens and adults who already play guitar, ukulele, or piano and are looking to connect with like-minded creative musicians in a positive brainstorming environment.

Concerts and Performances
Start your event off with a bang with a featured performance by the NCMS Trash Talk Percussion Ensemble.
NCMS faculty artists are frequent performers and love to collaborate to provide recitals throughout our community. Please let us know if you are interested in hosting a concert and we will happily devise a program to fit your audience.
NCMS students and faculty provide background reception music in a variety of styles for your next local cocktail party or event.
